Reflections on ISH 2025: Shaping a Sustainable Future
Our recent visit to ISH 2025 was an incredible experience, showcasing the latest innovations in sanitation, heating, and air-conditioning. Under the theme ‘Solutions for a Sustainable Future,’ the event highlighted the growing urgency of water efficiency and energy conservation in response to climate change and evolving environmental expectations.
The industry’s push towards digitalisation and sustainability was evident in the wide range of cutting-edge solutions on display. From smart water management systems to next-generation heating and cooling technologies, ISH 2025 demonstrated a strong commitment to progress. With over 163,000 attendees from 150 countries – including industry leaders, policymakers, and skilled tradespeople – the event underscored the global effort towards sustainability.
Championing Water Efficiency with GetWaterSmart
Our discussions at ISH reinforced the crucial role of water efficiency, strengthening our dedication to initiatives like GetWaterFit (https://www.getwaterfit.co.uk/#/) and GetWaterSmart (https://uk.getwatersmart.com/ ). We are committed to driving sustainable water practices forward, and ISH 2025 provided an excellent platform to highlight our work.
One of our recent milestones is the launch of the UK GetWaterSmart Product Directory in collaboration with the Unified Water Label. This directory exclusively features certified water-efficient products, ensuring a fair and transparent landscape for accredited brands. Unlike traditional e-commerce platforms, it is non-transactional – our focus is on guiding consumers towards sustainable choices, whether through direct searches or via the GetWaterFit tool.
Our success in Australia with a similar GetWaterSmart initiative, paired with the GetWaterFit tool, has set a strong foundation for our UK rollout. By combining digital solutions with industry collaboration, we aim to empower consumers with the knowledge to make informed, sustainable decisions.
Navigating a Changing Regulatory Landscape
With increasing regulation around water efficiency, maintaining a balanced and transparent industry framework is more important than ever. Our GetWaterSmart approach offers a low-risk, high-exposure model that benefits both businesses and reaches consumers. ISH 2025 reinforced the need for such solutions, reflecting a collective vision for a more sustainable industry.
Looking Ahead
Reflecting on our time at ISH 2025, we are more motivated than ever to lead the way in water efficiency and sustainability. The event was a powerful reminder that innovation and collaboration are key to shaping the future of our industry.
We look forward to continuing our partnerships with businesses, policymakers, and consumers to make water conservation a global standard. ISH 2025 made it clear that the industry is ready for change – and we’re excited to be at the forefront of that movement.
